Entertaining Cat Games

Cat GamesEntertaining cats can be hard at times, as they get bored quite easily. This is especially true for strictly indoor cats because they don’t have different environments to explore. There are four games you can try to help keep your cat healthy and content:

Find a Toy

Hide and seek is not just for dogs; cats too love playing this game. To start, pick out your cat’s favorite toy, play with him for a while, and then quickly place the object under something where it cannot be seen. If your cat is a beginner, hide the toy slowly so that he can watch or help him find the toy by leading him with your hand.

Catch

Cats have a hard time resisting anything that involves swatting or catching things suspended in the air. The good thing about this game is that you can play while sitting or lying down. You can use a home-made pole at home and tie a toy to it, or get a store bought cat fishing pole. Swing the object side to side to lure your cat into the game; once you’ve got his attention, he’ll want to play for hours! Just make sure that the rope is attached at all times, as it can be a hazard if it falls off and your cat swallows it.

Bubbles

Cats love popping bubbles as much as kids do; so, if you have children bubble time can be enjoyed by the entire family. However, it’s important that you only use soap that is non-toxic to pets.

Play Box

It’s surprising how easily cats can be amused. In fact, an empty box is all they need for an entire day of playtime. The best part of all is that you don’t have to do anything except provide an empty box and watch your cat have a blast. To make the experience more fun, hide some treats or kibbles in the box for your cat to find.
